Louisiana Castle

Castle Ballroom

The main entrance into The Castle is through the Ballroom’s double leaded, glass and mahogany doors. The ballroom is the main indoor reception area. Crystal chandeliers, white columns and inlaid floors adorn this glass-enclosed area. White linens, white chair covers with silver bands, and floral centerpieces for the food tables and centerpieces for the guest tables are all included in our standard wedding packages. And, Louisiana Castle can accommodate 350 guests, any day and any time!

Louisiana Castle Ballroom

Standard Decor

Louisiana Castle is always decorated with our standard decor for weddings and other events. Should you book a tour with us, the setup you view is exactly how it will be for your wedding or event, minus any extras you add such as party favors or special champagne glasses, etc.

Should you prefer to set the ballroom to your own theme and colors, this is allowed. You may hire your own decorator, choose to decorate yourself, or you may hire our personal Castle decorator, Busy Bee Florals. The only aspect we are involved in this process is to help facilitate a smooth transition and ensure the wedding or event runs on time. Bear in mind should you choose to decorate yourself, additional time may be necessary. The 'additional time' fee is collected by the Castle. The decorator, should you hire one, (even our Castle decorator), has nothing to do with us, other than the Caslte opening early for the decorator.

Typical Setup

In its standard configuration, the Ballroom, without utilizing the outside Pavilion, seats 150. In most cases, there is a Bridal table set up between columns close to the main cake for the Bride and Groom. The DJ area is next to the dance floor, and in its standard setting, we have the Groom’s cake along the wall.  The buffet tables are nicely placed against the wall leading to the kitchen. We have a sign-in table with a “gifted” Guest book, (or use your own), and tables for the Wedding and Groom’s cake. The Wedding cake table is usually placed under the main chandelier surrounded by four columns. The cake table is tastefully decorated and comes with the use of a silver cake stand, special cake knife, cake server and champagne glasses for the Bride and Groom.

Note: A majority of the pictures are not professional pictures, rather pictures taken by the web designer on a visit to the Castle. Professional pictures from your photographer will view better.

Considering Custom Decor

Our standard white linens with silver accents and floral centerpieces as seen above come with all packages, but you are welcome to create your own style! You can hire our personal decorator we’ve used for years, hire your own decorator, or you can decorate yourself. We understand this is one of the most precious moments in your life and you may have a specific idea in mind. That’s perfectly fine! We enjoy seeing the outcome!  To assist with your personal Wedding vision, we are adding several previous styles Castle Couples have used that stood out to us. Perhaps they will help you make a decision on your personal wedding inspiration. All decor you see on the Welcome page, standard or upgrade, comes from our personal decorator who is listed on our Vendors page.

Ballroom Bar

Louisiana Castle serves sodas, tea, and coffee, however we are not licensed to sell or serve alcohol. Our Clients often opt to purchase and bring in their own alcohol, or they hire a licensed and insured alcohol caterer. (We have alcohol caterers listed on the Vendor page.) We supply cups and ice for the drinks and food we serve, but do not provide special mixers or specialty glasses. We have champagne glasses for the Bride and Groom to use for the evening when requested.
